This is not going to be easy

It is one week ago that I took the first step on stage, opening this year's Inner Development Goals Summit with the words: "This is not going to be easy." Choosing the path of inner development to create different results on the outside is not the easy path to take. But it is one that 1.300 people on-site and several thousands online, from 105 countries, joined us in, during those days.

It was this unique moment when months of intense preparations, challenging decision-making processes and tense nervousness suddenly dissolved into a sense of calm and presence - as Maxida Märak's powerful joik opened this experience for us and every single piece of this gigantic jigsaw puzzle that an event of this size represents fell into place.

There is only that much you can do to prepare an event but the secret ingredient is always added at the end and is not up to any single one's control. It is the energy that is created between everyone who participates and contributes - on stage, backstage, in the audience, and the spaces in between. It is to every one of you that I owe my deep, sincere and heartfelt gratitude.

Turning the IDGs into a lived experience whilst trying to live up to them ourselves, is not the easy path to choose. 

But oh, is it worth it! Every single step of the way.
