Hologram-students pitching for a better world

As grande finale of a year where I took a deep dive into the manifold world of online events, I had the great chance to be part of the production of the virtual final show of Red Bull Basement with Media Apparat GmbH in their truly impressive Virtual Production Studio Vienna.

Red Bull Basement empowers students to use innovation for positive change. In the Final Show we connected 38 teams from all over the world, had 10 of them pitching as holograms, dialed in a digital jury, and in the end crowned the winner of this year: Lava Aqua X, a cheap washing machine reusing shower water for your laundry - love this idea!!

The last weeks have taught me so much about the possibilities for events and global gatherings that open up in the virtual space. Thank you so much for getting me on board and letting me be part of this to Andreas Göltl and the entire team! It was amazing working with director Tony Gregory, producer Alexandra Venier and format developer Bernhard Hendling, the most energetic hosting duo Daniel Cronin and Caroline de Moraes as well as our inspiring jury members Mathias Haas, Ruth Rowan and Manjula Lee. I'm truly impressed by the fantastic design and huge tech work that went into this as well as the unstoppable energy and effort by the entire #RedBullBasement team!
